In a nutshell
I was born and raised in Arizona in a tiny town called Surprise! I moved to Ohio around 7 years
ago and I absolutely love it. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with my degree in
psychology and I am currently getting my master’s from Xavier! To me, being a counselor
means that I pull from my own personal experiences from therapy and from life to have a better
understanding of my client! I want to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere that allows my
clients to be uniquely and authentically themselves.
What its like to work with me
I believe that the relationship between a client and a counselor is a collaborative experience.
Both the counselor and the client are needed to put in the effort and work to see desired results.
It is important that the client is taking responsibility for using the skills that are taught during
sessions in their everyday life. My idea of counseling is that the client is working towards their
own success with guidance and help from me as the counselor when it is needed.
My style and personality
I draw from a variety of techniques that allow me to make a genuine connection with my client. I
focus on using solution focused therapy, mindfulness, reality therapy, and cognitive behavioral
therapy along with others. I believe that each client has individual needs, and being able to tap
into many different techniques will allow the clients to feel that their needs are being met.
I am an outgoing person that allows the client to feel comfortable and at ease. I pride myself on
being understanding, empathetic, and an active listener. I want my clients to feel like they are
coming into a safe space that can allow them to be open and vulnerable. I believe that to help a
client heal it is important to allow them to be comfortable to be their authentic selves.

Outside of the office
I have a lot of different hobbies that I enjoy doing. My most recent hobby has been getting back
into reading. I have finished around 30 books within the last couple of months. You can also find
me in the kitchen baking. Dessert is a love language of mine, so I enjoy making any kind of
sweet treat. Lastly, I love to travel, particularly road trips. Every summer, I make an 11 hour road trip down to North Carolina. My favorite place that I have ever been to is Alaska during the summer!
