WHAT IS CORONAVIRUS ANXIETY
Coronavirus anxiety is an unease about the spread of the Covid-19 virus and an apprehension about the effects the virus can have on one's life and health.
We like to give anxiety a clear form in the imagination of our clients. We explain anxiety as fear’s close cousin. Both these feelings are a response to feeling in danger, unsafe, or under threat. Fear is a response to a known danger, whereas anxiety is a response to an unknown or ambiguous threat like the Coronaviurs .
Meriam Webster defines anxiety as an abnormal and overwhelming sense of apprehension and fear often marked by physiological signs (as sweating, tension, and increased pulse), by doubt concerning the reality and nature of the threat, and by self-doubt about one's capacity to cope with it.
